Staff Spotlight - Fallan Brandt
Fallan Brandt was born in Burnet, TX and grew up on a horse farm just outside of Marble Falls in Highland Hills. She graduated from MFHS in 2000 and received her Bachelor of General Studies with a focus in English, history and sociology from Texas Tech University. She has one daughter, Tori (15), and two step kids, Shannon (19) and Jordan (20). She was recently married last April to the love of her life, Gary. This is Fallan's tenth year working in special education. She started out at Marble Falls Elementary as a resource and life skills paraprofessional and then went on to teach at MFHS for the last 7 years. This is her first year at BHS. Fallan coached Special Olympics for many years and says that she knows that working with people with special needs is her life's calling. In her free time, she loves going on adventures, hiking, doing yoga and gardening. Fallan's most favorite places she has ever traveled to are Big Bend, the Davis Mountains, Washington state and the Great Smoky Mountains. After being at BHS this year, Fallan realizes that the grass is really greener down the green mile. :)
Staff Spotlight - Mariah Clark
Coach Clark is one of our athletic trainers and teachers at Burnet High School, helping provide orthopedic and sports medicine care to all of Burnet’s amazing athletes, and teaching classes such as sports medicine and medical terminology. Mariah graduated from Lampasas High School in 2011. Since then she has lived in Arkansas and Florida before returning home in 2020. She graduated from Harding University in 2016 with a B.S in Athletic Training before moving to Florida in 2017. Mariah had the privilege to work as an athletic trainer at one of the best Orthopedic and Sports Medicine hospitals in the country while living in Florida, but is happier than ever to be back home. She is currently in her 7th year as an ATC, but just her second year in the classroom and here at BHS.
When not at work, Coach Clark loves spending time with her daughter, Kinsley. They enjoy most everything together and you can usually find Kinsley in the gym starting “Let’s go Bulldogs!” chants during volleyball and basketball games. Some of Mariah’s other favorite things include going on adventures and exploring all over the hill country, being around any kind of water, weekly dinner dates, and spending time with family and friends.
