December Delights
What a festive couple of weeks it's been in the Panda classroom! We've been singing a lot of Christmas songs, reading Christmas books, and identifying Christmas objects. One of our favorite activities has been pulling objects and action words out of stockings and talking about them. We've been listening to clues to find ornaments throughout the classroom and matching them on our tree. We've also been sorting big/little objects, and sorting objects by categories (e.g., animals v. foods).
During P.E. last week, we had a "snowball fight" with soft fluffy white balls to practice our overhand throws. This week for P.E., Ms. Dawn led us in a variety of different stretches. With our friends from Rm 4, we played in the ball pit, decorated cookies, played in a huge cardboard castle, and played with a lot of different toys (marble maze was a group favorite). Ms. Dylan led a circle time about Hanukkah, during which we talked about the menorah, sang Hanukkah songs, and ate latkes! We had a great time relaxing on Pajama Day.
The kids worked hard painting and decorating their boxes to give to their parents for Christmas!
HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. We all appreciate it so much! See you next year - school starts back up on January 8!
