News from the NBE PTO

Did you know that if you are a NBE teacher, or parent of a child attending New Britton Elementary that you are automatically part of the PTO? You are and we’d love to have your ideas on what our school’s Parent Teacher Organization can do for our students and staff!

The NBE PTO has had two meetings this year. They have both been successful at approving the year’s budget and brainstorming ideas for community events. We’d love to see you there!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

The timeframe for our parent-teacher conferences is October 25-November 19. There is an update as to when teachers will be sending our their conference sign-up information. This information will be sent to families this Wednesday, September 29th.

Second Step Social Emotional Learning

This week students continued the Second Step Elementary digital program, a researched-based social-emotional learning program designed to improve children’s social-emotional skills. Second Step skills and concepts are designed to help children both in and out of school.

Community News

Cops & Kids Program

Fishers Police Department has partnered with Texas Roadhouse to raise money for the 10th annual Cops & Kids Program. Come on out to this Dine to Donate fundraiser at the Fishers Texas Roadhouse on Monday, September 27th from 4:00PM – 10:00PM. This is FPD’s only fundraiser for this program and all proceeds go to support HSE kids this holiday season. For more information on the Cops & Kids program, please email copsandkids@fishers.in.us.

Mudsock Youth Athletics News

Recreational Basketball Registration Remains Open: Play with us this winter! Registration for boys and girls interested in skill development and building a love for the game is open at myathletics.com. Offered to kindergarteners through 8th grade. Information and registration can be found here.

Already registered for boys recreational basketball? Learn dates for the free Mudsock Boys Basketball Rec Clinic (registered athletes in grades 2nd-5th), rec evaluations (grades 2nd-8th), and drafts here. This page will continue to be updated as specific times are finalized.

Please note, team assignments for athletes registered for girls recreational basketball will be announced at the end of October.

*High school intramural basketball information will be released at the end of November.
