UNICEF FUNDRAISER
PARTY WITH A PURPOSE
AFRICA NEEDS YOU...
Dear friends,
As the owner of The Gite Gallery, which specializes exclusively in the sale of African art, I am all too aware of the ongoing crises that plague the continent. Having traveled to sub-Saharan Africa more than 30 times over the last three decades, I appreciate, more than anyone, the beautiful art and amazing people of Africa. However, I have seen first hand the devastation of wars where thousands were slaughtered, massive political corruption, unthinkable poverty, the kidnapping and exploitation of children, lack of education, unsanitary drinking water and the list goes on. It is, therefore, obvious that Africa needs our help.
To drum up support for this gallant effort, we at The Gite Gallery are hosting a fundraising event to benefit UNICEF, United Nations Children's Fund.
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to save and improve children's lives, providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.
We ask that you join us on August 1, 2014 for a special cocktail reception where will will attempt to raise $10,000 for UNICEF.
100% of all donations collected will go directly to UNICEF and we will donate a portion of anything that is purchased at the gallery that evening.
If you are unable to attend, please feel free to write a check made payable to UNICEF and mail it or drop it off at the gallery. Your donation is, of course, tax deductible.
We look forward to seeing you!
Sincerely,
Lloyd Gite
