Exploring Our Inner Strengths
March 2023
Spring break is around the corner. This is an opportunity to rest, break free from being online and to refocus. This month we want to focus on keeping our children and family safe. In doing so we will explore our strengths, abilities and talents. Below you will find different safety tips and strategies on a variety of topics that you can explore on your own and with your kids. Remember to take things one step at a time and take care of yourself.
What are some stressors happening right now for youth?
- Worrying about schoolwork or grades
- Juggling responsibilities, such as school and work or sports
- Problems with friends, bullying, or peer group pressures
- Changing schools, moving, or dealing with housing problems or homelessness
- Having negative thoughts about themselves
- Going through body changes, in both boys and girls
- Seeing parents go through a divorce or separation
- Money problems in the family
- Living in an unsafe home or neighborhood
