Homecoming Dance 10/15
Students will be permitted to bring 1 guest who must be in at least 9th grade and cannot be 21 or older. Guests will need to submit a completed guest form to the main office by September 30th. Dance Guest Form

Volunteer Opportunities
The counseling department has created a list of potential ways that high school students can engage in community service. This list is intended to be a starting point and will continue to be updated. If you would like an organization or opportunity to be added to this list, please reach out to Mrs. Burdis, Career Counselor, at jburdis@pvsd.org.
PSAT Registration October 12
Students who are taking the exam will report to school at the normal time. Testing will be completed around noon. Transportation will be provided. Students will have the opportunity to purchase lunch prior to dismissal. Our low incidence students in Ms. Roche and Mrs. Bialoboki's classes will attend the entire school day and all other students who are not testing will be asynchronous.
NMTCC Students:
- AM students who are taking the test will not attend their tech program for that day.
- AM students who are NOT taking the test will attend their tech program as they normally do.
- PM students who are taking the test will be bussed to their tech program from PVHS.
- PM students who are NOT taking the test will be bussed to their tech program from home.

ASVAB Career Exploration Program
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program will be offered for any 10th, 11th, or 12th grader on Fri., 10/7. The ASVAB - Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery can help students identify a career path and/or college major and helps students understand their skills, abilities, and interests in order to make the best decisions about their future. The assessment will run from approx. 8-11am. Any student with 4th lunch who participates will be able to eat lunch after the assessment. Students must sign up on this Google Form https://forms.gle/1LUAXjAUC5wzpZXJ7 and turn in the signed ASVAB Parent Form.docx to the Counseling Office by Fri., 9/30.

Class Rings
Perk Valley students are getting ready to order their official Perkiomen Valley High School Class Rings. A time-honored tradition, your student will wear their custom class ring with pride for years to come! The program is introduced to the sophomore class, but juniors and seniors are invited to participate as well if they haven't already. You can view our digital class ring brochure here, and attached is the class ring order form and price list for download as well. You can submit your student's class ring order by going to sscrings.com and following the steps. The deadline for all orders is Wednesday, September 21st! You can upload the completed class ring order form online, or have them hand in the order to the representatives during lunches and measurements will be taken on September 21st! All rings ordered by this deadline will be delivered before Winter Break this December, giving your child an optimal amount of time to wear his/her ring while still in high school and making this purchase a great holiday gift idea. Picture Retakes and Make-ups
Students who want to get their pictures retaken are to return their picture packet to the photographer in the auditorium on October 11th and a new packet will be generated.
Clubs and Activities
The following club information can be found in the daily announcements.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting every Wednesday at 7:00 am in the Library. Please see Mr. Colvin or Mr. Palumbo with any questions.
- Anyone interested in being an officer for Viking Buddies, please see Ms. Witman or Ms. Roche in Room 125 by TODAY. Thank you so much!
- The Drama Club will be meeting and starting this year’s season on Tuesday, September 20th and the classroom code is a5yrvs6. Please see Mr. Lyczak in room 219 with any questions.
- For all those who enjoy working alongside friends on volunteer projects, please consider joining Key Club. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 21st, in the Cafeteria. Please see Mr. Lyons with any questions.
- There will be a mandatory in person meeting for all students who join Speech & Debate on Wednesday, September 28th at 6:29 PM in Dr. Gelman's room,130. Parents of students must also attend this meeting which will last approximately one hour. See Dr. Gelman for any questions.
- Do you like to play video games or go on D&D adventures? The Game Club is a great place to make new friends. The Game Club will have their first meeting on Thursday, September 22nd in room 308. Please see the classroom code lgi2mpm for more information. Email Mrs. Giorgio or Mr. Nawrocki with any questions.
- Interested in joining Math Club? You could compete in math competitions with students from around the country! We will be having an informational meeting about joining math club on Friday, September 23rd in room 246 at 2:40 pm to 3:00 pm. If you have any questions contact Mrs. Verbeke at sverbeke@pvsd.org.

Financial Aid/FAFSA
After School Buses
The after school buses will begin running on Tuesday, September 6th as follows :
Tuesday and Thursdays - 4:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot
Monday thru Thursdays - 5:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot
Students must fill out the google form the day they wish to take the bus.
22-23 Yearbooks
Yearbooks can be purchased until Friday, September 16th at the lowest price available and will include four free personalized icons with that purchase option.

Viking Genius Bar
The Viking Genius Bar (VGB) is located on the 1st floor in the science wing across from Room 113. All students who are having technical issues with their chromebooks can visit the VGB for assistance daily during the following times ~
7:30-11:00 AM
12:30-2:30 PM
If you are unable to visit during these hours, please email helpdesk@pvsd.org and a member of our team will respond to provide next steps. Please enter your name, student ID number, and all relevant details about the issue you are experiencing.
**Please note that students are expected to charge their chromebook at home and no chromebooks or chargers will be given out at the VGB for students who forgot them at home or did not fully charge them**
NCAA Eligibility Center
NCAA has specific requirements for student's who wish to participate in college athletics. Please refer to the NCAA Handbook for all of the information that you will need.

Seniors have until September 30th to sign up for the Senior Class Trip.

Working Papers
Working Papers can be issued if a student between the ages of 14 to 18 is applying for a job and working papers have not yet been issued. Working papers are required by the State of Pennsylvania until a student is 18 years old. Please send kgeorge@pvsd.org an e-mail for the instructions and procedures that has been established by the State of Pennsylvania.
