Halloween at School 2021

  • Parade: A short Halloween Parade will take place beginning at 10:00AM on Friday, October 29th. Weather permitting, we will parade out the main doors and parade around the building. Families are welcome to come and watch our costume parade outdoors and take pictures. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, our parade will be canceled.


  • Classroom Activities: Classrooms/grade levels will be planning for Halloween activities either before or after the parade. If teachers request parent volunteers to help facilitate the classroom activities, all volunteers will have to submit a Background Check and a Volunteer Code of Ethics Form. Stay tuned for more information from you child's teacher regarding Halloween activities.


  • Costumes: Students may come to school in costume on Friday, October 29. (We don't have enough staff/ space for students to change at school.)They can stay in costume for the duration of the day. Costumes need to be school appropriate and cannot depict violence or blood/gore. No fake weapons are allowed in school (i.e. toy guns, swords, blades, etc). Costume masks can be worn for the parade (as long as students can safely see), but they may not be worn throughout the day. For costumes that have short skirts/shorts, leggings or pants need to be worn underneath.

NEWLY UPDATED FPS QUARANTINE INFORMATION

Ms. Wozniak sent out some updated quarantine procedures from the Health Department on Thursday, September 30th. If you did not see her email, you may find it HERE.


***Remember, the best way to do YOUR PART to help keep our community healthy and in school teaching and learning is to keep children with any potential sign of illness at home until the cause is determined by a medical professional.***

Mental Health Awareness Fair

Macomb Family Services is sponsoring a Mental Health Awareness Fair on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 11am - 4pm at the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans) in Shelby Township. The event is free and open to the public. There will be tables set up featuring several mental health and wellness organizations from across Macomb County. It is an interactive, family friendly event and will have food, games, inflatable toys, live music, giveaways and more. Some organizations will be passing out information, and some will have products for sale.

First MTPC Meeting of the 21-22 School Year!

Our Mark Twain Parents Club will be holding their first meeting on Wednesday, October 20th, at 6:30pm in our Twain Gym.
