Teacher Teaching Out-of-Field Area
Clark, Samson ESOL
Gonzalez, Taylor ELA 6-12 and ESOL
Kinsman, Dylan Chemistry 6-12
Nelson, William ESOL
Pedraza, Victor Health K-12
Singleton, Brian ESE K-12
Schuster, Kevin ESOL
Voorvaart, Amanda Middle Grades General Science
These teachers are certified in at least one area and are qualified to teach, but need additional course work to add the out-of-field area coverage to their certificate. The teachers listed above are teaching out-of-field while completing course work in the evening, on weekends, and/or during the summer to gain certification, or taking a content area knowledge exam to demonstrate they have the content knowledge to teach their above listed out-of-field area.
English teachers who teach students that qualify as English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are required to take 300 hours of additional course work beyond their teaching degree to earn an ESOL Endorsement to their State Teachers Certificate. The following teachers are in the process of taking the required course work to earn their ESOL Endorsement: Gonzalez, Taylor; Nelson, William; Schuster, Kevin
All of our out-of-field professional educators are dedicated to helping students succeed in their learning!
NOTICE TO BUILDING OCCUPANTS AND PARENTS
NOTIFICATION OF INSPECTION FOR ASBESTOS CONTAINING
MATERIALS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule, 40 CFR Part 763, Asbestos Containing Material in schools, commonly referred to as AHERA. This rule requires all Local Education Agencies (LEA’s) to identify asbestos containing materials (ACM) in their school buildings and to take appropriate actions to control the release of asbestos fibers.
All inspections for Pasco High School have been completed and a Management Plan describing the results of the inspection and the action plan to control any asbestos found during the inspection, where applicable, has been submitted to the governor for approval. A copy of this plan is located in the administrative office of this school and at the Pasco County Schools Maintenance & Facility Services Department and is available for review upon request.
