October Parent Newsletter
Dr. Malinda McKillip, Principal
Last week our school enjoyed participating in #StartWithHello week activities as we modeled inclusive behaviors, random acts of kindness, and respectful behavior. I am very pleased to share that our French Creek students are generally extremely well behaved and kind on a daily basis, but it is always helpful if parents reinforce expectations for positive school behaviors within the home as well.
Sincerely,
~Malinda McKillip

If you have any difficulties, please contact the school office for assistance.
Un-Fundraiser
We are extending the Unfundraiser until the end of October. Unfortunately, we have only met about 1/3 of our goal and we still need your help! So, if you haven't done so, now's your chance to contribute. Please be advised that if we don't hit our goal in the fall, we will need to have another fundraiser in the spring. So, contribute a little or a lot...it ALL counts!
Please see the attached flyer with specific details to learn how the money is used for your students. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Health Insurance Assistance
This is a new pilot program in which we are partnering with non-profit organization Maternal and Child Health Consortium ccmchc.org in assisting our families with accessing health insurance and other assistance programs.
The district is hosting an open enrollment day at the Middle School on October 10 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM for ALL district families that may need assistance in applying for health insurance (medicare, MA, CHIP).

LEGO Club
Hello French Creek Families! It's time for LEGO Club sign-ups!
1. This will be the only LEGO club this year!
2. We are limiting sign-ups to the first 100 students!
3. At least one (1) parent will be REQUIRED to volunteer to chaperone at least one (1) LEGO club meeting. With such a large group of kids, extra parents are absolutely necessary. You will not be able to register unless you mark a date you are willing to volunteer. If necessary, you can ask a friend or family member to take your place and provide their name and email address. The volunteer must have their clearances on file in the office.
4. Please visit our PTA website to sign up your child.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9TH AT 11:59 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS!
IF YOU CHOOSE TO PAY BY CHECK OR CASH, choose that option, print out the form and send the form, together with your payment, in to school in an envelope labeled "Lego Club" no later than Monday, October 14, 2019.
