Hunting Out Hunger

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
We have an opportunity to help with a great cause this holiday season! Consider ringing the bell for donation outside the entrance to WalMart. We'd love to have some additional Firebird families participate! Please email Mrs. Eslinger at leslinger@mhlt.org, or call her at (715) 256-5206, x2216, if you can volunteer! Thank you.
Missing anything?
Please encourage your child to check the lost n' found (located outside the cafeteria entrance) for anything they might be missing! All items will be donated before Thanksgiving, and we would love to return as many items to their owners as possible!
Turkeys and Traditions
Tom, a live turkey, will visit the kids at the Northwoods Children's Museum in celebration of Thanksgiving on Friday & Saturday, November 25 & 26, from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Also offered is a special holiday workshop for kids to create special gifts for friends and relatives for the holidays!

Christmas in Minocqua
The Christmas season begins in downtown Minocqua on Saturday, November 26! The festivities begin at 12:00 pm. The Minocqua Museum will be open, you can visit with Santa’s reindeer, meet and take a photo with Elsa and Anna in Campanile's "Frozen" wonderland, and shop for great art at their "Lost Treasure" art sale. At 12:45 pm, Santa will make a loop around downtown Minocqua on a horse-drawn wagon before arriving at Gaslight Square, where he will visit with the children until 4:30 pm. While at Gaslight Square, stop by for free children’s crafts. You can also enjoy a ride on the horse-drawn wagon, and stop by Veterans Park for a fire, hot chocolate, and cookies. At 4:30, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the way to Torpy Park for carols and the official lighting of the Christmas display at 5:00 pm. A wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season with your family!
