SEBHS Boys and Girls team bring home their first victory of the season over Vidalia. SEBHS Boys beat Vidalia 4-1. Winners for the Boys include First Singles Noah Streetman with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, First Doubles win from Maddox Vickery and Tyler Smith with a 7-5, 6-4, Eric Lim with a win at Second Singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, and Liam Melton with a 6-4,6-2 victory, Second Doubles Jacob Dilas and William Wu lost a close match with a 6-7, 4-6 loss.

SEBHS Girls defeated Vidalia 4-1. Winners for the girls include First Singles Rylee Veland with a 6-0, 6-1 victory, Anna Grace Bosley with a 6-2, 6-2 victory, First doubles Reagan Boyles and Anna Kate Higgs with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, and Second Doubles Lydia Fowler and Addie Smith with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Third Singles Laina Erickson fell in a close match 4-6, 6-7.

VIDEO: Downtown Pep Rally draws large crowd Friday

A large crowd of community members showed up for the Downtown Pep Rally event which featured three area high school teams, cheerleaders and band members for the annual First Friday event. Hours before the event was to begin, downtown Statesboro received 3 inches of rain.
