Triton Preview and Review 7.31.2017
Greetings
What an exciting first full week back. I visited several classrooms and saw students engaged in a variety of thoughtful and challenging learning experiences. From OPTICS in History to the Penny Boat Challenge in Technology to the creative Oreo carving art project, Tritons were definitely learning at high levels. On Friday, we had an amazing spirit day with the students. I was proud to see so much purple out there! I would like to give special thanks to Alejandra and Frank for their presentations to the 7th and 8th graders regarding the Triton Way as well as Molly Bulwa for orchestrating a great first spirit day. Keep up the great work everyone. I will continue my listening campaign this week and you will see me in several classes along with the admin team doing observations. Mr. Spates was the first to nominate a student for a Triton Shell Award. It was a pleasure to call the student's parents with praise. Keep those recommendations coming and recognize those kids!

Big Picture Items
Stay Informed!
* We are just about done with selecting our PLC and SLT leadership groups. If you were not selected for FAC or PLC, but are still interested in SLT opportunities, please let me know. Our first FAC meeting is slated for August 8th. Let your representatives know about your concerns, comments, and/or praise!
* After meeting with the awesome Curriculum Specialists, we will begin to engage in dialogue about next steps for this group in terms of instructional leadership. Stay tuned PLCs!
*The Admin Team is in the process of preparing for observations. Expect us to be passing through in the next few weeks. With the FAC, we will start to narrow our focus on feedback.
Transparency Project
The admin team met with the ELH admin team and we will be discussing articulation opportunities between our schools. We will inform the FAC.
We will get our final allocation numbers this Monday and we should be done with master schedule changes shortly thereafter. Hang tight! Almost there.
We have filled our positions for lunch and library supervision. Below are the links for our transparency project. After I meet with the FAC, I am going to ask that PLC minutes be uploaded to the Google.doc site so that all material is one area.
Extra Assignments and Leadership Positions. Please note that is still a working document. I also highlighted individuals who will get priority. Make sure to scroll down to the bottom to see the different opportunities.
Google.Docs --> Storage of schoolwide documents such as PLC, Leadership Minutes, etc.) as well as Roles and Responsibilities (Admin, Psychologist, CIS, ASB)
