Principal’s Message
Kia ora whānau
Well here we are at the end of what can only be described as a very busy and unusual term for everyone. The children have coped remarkably well with all the changes and most of them are definitely ready for the holiday break ahead.
I found that the second half of the term just raced by and still can’t quite believe that we are already at the end of the third term, with only one left to go! Term 4 is just around the corner and with it being only 9 weeks long, I’m sure it will also be over before we know it. I would like to take this opportunity to remind whānau that school will finish at 2pm this Friday and will reopen for Term 4 on Monday 18 October.
Please don’t forget to update your contact details with Monica in the office, if they have changed recently, as it is vital that we are able to make contact with you when we need to.
Take care everyone, enjoy the holidays, and we’ll see you next term.
Ngā mihi
Hamish Regan
New Student
We warmly welcome Isla and her whānau to Rātā Street School.
Lost Property
Since returning to school our tamariki have been adding to the mountain of lost property in the Lost Property Box. If your child is missing an item of clothing or drink bottle etc., then please ask them to look in the box as soon as possible, as Friday is fast approaching. Parents/caregivers and whānau are more than welcome to check what is in the box at any time.
This week's kupu

E noho ana au i te rohe o Pōneke.
I am living in the Wellington region.
Whānau Hui
Unfortunately we weren’t able to hold our hui for the term due to all the changes that we’ve had recently with lockdown, Levels 3 and 2. We will be looking to hold a hui in Term 4 for our whānau Māori, so please keep an eye out in the pānui for more information next term.
