Diwali is a 5 day festival, celebrated to mark good over evil. It is observed each year at some point during mid-October to mid-November in many countries such as India.
The step of Celebrating Diwali
Cleaning the house and business area is a big thing to do before the day Diwali starts. The entrance to you home or business needs to be decorated with colorful Rangoli designs. Burn lamps every night during the 5 day festival. Light some firecrackers or set off some fire works. Wear new clothing and jewelry on the second and third days. Bake things! Go vegitarian. For many people, Diwali is a no meat eating celebration. Play some games with your friends or family. Perform "Lakshmi Pooja". Care for your sibling on the last day of Diwali. Even if you aren't worshiping all Hindu things, you can still go to community celebrations.
