Shuksan Families,
Blooming trees. Bunnies. Rain showers. Sunny afternoons. Spring Break is here. We hope students, families and staff take the chance to unplug and rejuvenate.
We mentioned last week that Governor Inslee announced that 3 feet can now be used for socially distancing at school between students. We do not have any announcements to make at this time, but we will let you know of any upcoming changes.
Two quick things:
- Sports signups will begin after Spring Break. We would love for students to participate in cross country, soccer and Unified soccer. These will take place on the days your student is at school. More details to come!
- A new rotation starts after Spring Break. Students will attend period 1-4 classes.
Enjoy the week away and please let us know what questions you may have. We are here for you.

Middle School Sports Starting After Spring Break
Clubs and intramurals sports are on their way!
We are planning on starting middle school intramurals after Spring Break!
The season will run from Monday, April 19 until Friday, June 11. We are offering Co-Ed Cross Country, Co-Ed Soccer, and Co-Ed Unified Soccer. Practices will take place at Shuksan from 2:30 – 4:00 PM. Students will participate on the days when they attend school. Our BVL, all remote, BFPP, homeschool, and private school students will choose the A Cohort or B Cohort sports days (M/T or Th/F).
Students will participate with other students at our school and not with other middle schools. There are no fees and no sports physical required. Students will sign up using Final Forms, . Parents will receive the Final Forms link in their email. https://bellingham-wa.finalforms.com/ Both parents and students need to login and sign up/fill out paperwork.
Reminder: Students can enter the buildings starting at 9am. Please try to drop off as close to 9am as possible.
