BG is partnering with Big Hearts & Sponsoring 5 children
We are excited to be partnering with Big Hearts of Fox Valley to help provide gifts to people in need in district 303. Last year, we sponsored 3 children from the school district, and everyone blew us away with their generosity. This year we have 5 children to provide to for this holiday season. We know BG can do this. Please bring your UNWRAPPED gifts to the office and label them with child A,B,C,D,E. All gifts need to be at the school by Friday, November 10th. So let's get shopping! Please see below to review the available slots and to sign up. If you have any questions, let us know! Thank you!

Fall Spirit Week Continues
Fall Party Costumes on 10/31
Students will be permitted to wear costumes at school on 10/31, our fall party day.
Below are the details that will assist students, teachers, and families in making the best decision for each individual child. Please know, we recognize that not all students WANT to wear a costume to school. Within the details provided, we have given suggestions for students who do not want to wear a costume for personal reasons. We support all students in the decisions they make for themselves regarding participation in dressing up.
Details:
- Students may come to school wearing their costumes on Friday 10/31. Students will not have the opportunity to change into or out of their costume at school. Students will be wearing their costumes all day. Please think about students sitting in these costumes all day, using the washroom, attending recess and specials.
- No costume masks, no makeup, no inflatable costumes. Costumes must be appropriate for school (no blood, gore, weapons, or accessories).
- Throughout the week of October 23, Student Council will be hosting a Spirit Week. Each day will have a different clothing theme (examples could include: crazy hair day, hat day, etc). Tuesday October 31, will be a BG Spirit Day as well for anyone who would rather participate in the Spirit Day versus wearing a costume.
- Each grade level has determined what time their class party will be. Classroom teachers will work directly with their Head Room Parents to coordinate details. Watch for updated party information from your Head Room Parent!!!
- No food is permitted at Fall Classroom Parties. No food is allowed in goodie bags as well.
- We will not hold a costume parade.

Big Hearts of Fox Valley
For the 10th year in a row, D303 is again partnering with Big Hearts of Fox Valley, which supports families in need during the holiday season. Big Hearts of Fox Valley Holiday Giving Program's purpose is to provide holiday gifts for D303 students and their younger siblings whose families face significant financial hardship. Please consider dropping off a brand new, unwrapped toy in Bell Graham’s donation box. The box will be at Bell Graham through November 9th.
Outdoor Clothing
Please be sure to send your child with appropriate outdoor clothing for recess. Students have outdoor recess unless the outside temperature is below 0.
Please label your child's jacket, gloves, hat, etc. whenever possible. It helps us return items to their owner when they end up in lost & found.
Volunteer Process
We appreciate our volunteers and value your time. When you are in the building for any reason, please be respectful of classroom instruction and do not make unexpected visits to your child's classroom. Thank you for helping us minimize classroom disruptions.

COMMITTEE CHAIR SPOTLIGHT
This week, we spotlight LINDSAY CONNELL who co-chairs the PTO’s Decorations Committee. She is the creative mind behind the welcoming pots out front of BG. Lindsay is also the room mom for 5G and has been an active member of the BG PTO for over six years. Lindsay is always offering a helping hand and volunteers to help out at every PTO event. Last year, she managed all of the arts and crafts class offerings for ASE, which is no easy feat! Bell Graham would not be the place it is without this amazing mom. Thank you Lindsay for all you do for BG!!!
FALL FEST - THANK YOU!
Fall Fest is underway tonight, and we could not have done this without all the wonderful families and companies that donated towards the event. We would like to thank:
The countless families that donated their time and baked goods to the cake walk;
Blondies Beef that paid for the train to run all night long;
Mad Hatter Bakery;
Smallcakes;
Nothing Bundt Cakes; and
Grahams Chocolates.

Leaving Early
PICKING UP YOUR CHILD EARLY?
Please call the office when you are 5 minutes away and we will have your child ready and waiting for you at the office. You will have to press the buzzer to come inside the vestibule to sign them out on our iPad. 331-228-2100
Car Tags
For car riders, we use a Visor Tag System. Each family should have received a car tag that has the family last name and the class codes of students in the family. The use of this visor tag expedites our car rider line tremendously as staff members are able to get students ready for their cars as the cars pull up! Please display the tag on your passenger side visor, or passenger side window, so that it is visible to the BG staff as you pull through the pick-up line.
If you need additional visor tags, please email Mrs. Kirincich.
