Dear Parents,


It is with great excitement that we invite future students & parents to the École OLPH ~ OPEN HOUSE on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We are looking forward to sharing our wonderful program with you and be sure to enter your name for our awesome door prize!!!

Jump Rope for Heart!!!

Dear Parents,


Let's Jump together and raise some money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation at the same time!!!


On Thursday, February 22, each student received a Jump Rope for Heart fundraising package. (Please see pictures below for more information.)


The Jump Rope for Heart event will be held on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018. Classes will be jumping at various times throughout the day for at least 20 minutes as part of the fundraising event. All students are encouraged to participate in Jump Rope for Heart whether they collect donations or not.

Linking Generations ~ Annual Family Meet & Greet Event at CloverBar Lodge

Dear Parents,


On the evening of Thursday, February 15th, our École OLPH Linking Generations CloverBar Lodge students enjoyed an enjoyable family Meet & Greet evening.


The room was buzzing with joy and many wonderful memories were shared.


A special Thank you to our superintendent, Michael Hauptman, for joining us for this memorable evening.

Artist in Residence & Guest Students!!!

Dear Parents,


From February 23rd to March 1st we will be have a wonderful Artist in Residence,


Without spoiling the surprise, the students will be making some interesting sculptures!!!


As well, the grade 4 students from École Père Kenneth Kearns Catholic School will be joining us during our Artist in Residence week.

This is just a reminder that for the Farewell Presentation, all grade 8 students are required to submit a baby picture (0-2 years) and a current photo before the end of the month.

From February 12 to March 5, 2018, École OLPH will be collecting your old computers, tvs, electronics, etc.


Please bring your items to the school during the above mentioned dates only and place them in the GEEP Canada Inc. recycle bin that will be located by the school shed in the staff parking lot.


The more items that are donated = more weight = more money for our school!

GRADE 8 SCRABBLE NIGHT - Friday, April 13 - we are looking for a volunteer co-ordinator for this event!

M. Morin has presented this fun opportunity to us as a great way to get the grade 8's excited for the trip and raise some money at the same time! Participants will collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbours that want to sponsor them in games of Scrabble. YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! We're going to turn the gym into a rockin' Scrabble hall, with tables of 4 players and prizes for creativity! More details will be coming out soon.

***We are beginning to compile photos for the various presentations. We need a baby- 2yrs photo and a current photo of each student that may be either submitted to me digitally in jpeg format or in a printed format that I can scan at school and then return to you.


In addition, if you have any school photos of students from kindergarten - grade 8, I’d appreciate being able to scan those.
