PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Roosevelt Parents/Guardians,
As we conclude the first trimester of the school year, I want to pause to recognize the terrific work by our students during these challenging times. Our students demonstrated that they can do hard things under difficult circumstances. They have been engaged and participating in lessons. Moreover, the students returning to school in the hybrid plan did an outstanding job adjusting to our new safety guidelines and procedures. Throughout these experiences our students showed resilience. Nothing has been easy and learning remains a daily challenge. However, our students deserve credit for their positive spirit and determination.
I also want to thank our teachers, teaching assistants, and staff. They consistently go above and beyond to serve our students. Working day and night, teachers have been planning lessons and engaging students in learning. They have demonstrated that good teaching transmits through the screen. Throughout this process, teachers have maintained their professionalism and partnered with parents to make the most of the situation.
Finally, I want to thank our parents for your support and encouragement. Many of you have reached out to us to express your appreciation and understanding. In addition, you have partnered with our teachers to make the most of your learning pods at home and other circumstances.
Like this school year, the holiday season will be different and feel different than previous years. Yet, I hope we will use this time to remember the people and the experiences we are thankful for having in our lives.
Happy Thanksgiving!
