Town of Flower Mound Approves Flower Mound Ranch Rezoning
The Flower Mound Ranch (Furst Ranch) was approved for the rezoning of over 1,000 acres that would include 6,000 multi-family units (1,000 age-restricted) and 3,000 single-family homes. This development is entirely within Argyle ISD's school zone boundaries and includes all four corners of intersection at FM 1171 and US Highway 377.
This development would include future Argyle ISD schools. Property owners Jack & Robert Furst have offered AISD the opportunity to purchase land for a middle school along with the donation of land for a future elementary school.
The district is currently studying the future enrollment impact of this phased development with the district's demographic consultants. Early projections include AISD enrolling its first students from this development during the 2027-2028 school year. The district will provide more details of the impact of this development as they become available.
