Daniel Wright Junior High School E-Notice - Feb. 15, 2021

PT Conference Scheduling Opens Tomorrow

Dear Parents/Guardians of Students at Daniel Wright Jr High School,

Scheduling for our Winter Remote Parent-Teacher Conferences via Zoom will open Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10:00 a.m. and close on Monday, Feb. 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 11, you received an email from support@ptcwizard.com with your login information. The primary family contact for your student (as parents identified in our PowerSchool student information system at the time of registration) received the email communication from PTC Wizard. Due to our limited conference availability, we ask that our families with two households collaborate to find a time for both parents to attend each teacher conference.

Please try and log into your PTC Wizard account to make sure you can access the dashboard prior to the system going live. Conferences will not become available to schedule until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. Please use the PTC Wizard website to schedule conferences.

When you access conference options for Daniel Wright you will see four conference options. They are outlined below:

  1. Winter PTC: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish (Limit two)

    1. When this conference is selected you will see the teachers associated with your child.

    2. Please only select two teachers that you would like to see availability. The system will allow you to keep all teachers “checked”, but it will limit you to scheduling conferences with only two teachers.

  2. Winter PTC: Creative Arts, Health, PE, STEM

    1. When this conference is selected you will see the teachers associated with your child.

    2. You will be able to schedule a conference with any teacher your child is associated and you will not be limited to only two teachers.

    3. There is also an option to “Show More Teachers”. If you select this link, you will be able to see the availability for any teacher within this option to schedule a conference.

  3. Winter PTC: Case Managers, ELL, REACH, RTI

    1. When this conference is selected you will see the teachers associated with your child.

    2. You will be able to schedule a conference with any teacher your child is associated and is not limited to only two teachers.

  4. Winter PTC: Psychologist, Social Workers

    1. You will be able to schedule a conference with any support staff.

Eighth-Grade Scholarship Opportunity

The D103 Learning Fund Foundation Provides scholarship opportunity to eighth-graders at Daniel Wright. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying eighth–grader in memory of former parent Dawn Anderson.

The Dawn Anderson Scholarship was established in honor of Dawn Anderson who passed away in 2017. While her children progressed through the District 103 school system, Dawn followed them, volunteering for any and every school or teacher-based project available. Motivated by her love of children, Dawn continued volunteering after her children moved on in their education. To honor her legacy, the Learning Fund Foundation established the scholarship to recognize a D103 graduating eighth–grade student who displays a passion for volunteering and serving others. This $2,500 award must be used for education at a post–secondary school. For more information, please visit the Learning Fund Foundation's scholarship website page. The deadline to apply is Saturday, April 10, 2021. Please contact the foundation at lff+anderson21@d103.org with questions.
