Student Success Team
A SST is a formalized structure for a group of educators, administrators, and other staff to meet regularly to address concerns about individual students or groups of students. The SST
- anticipates and prevents issues before they occur;
- provides interventions and/or resources when issues arise;
- supports staff members by introducing teachers who bring an issue to the team to new strategies; and
- helps to build capacity for teachers to support a wide range of students.
Examples of student issues that may be brought before the SST:
- Academic struggles;
- Poor attendance;
- Discipline problems;
- Health-related issues; and
- Need for enrichment.
In your mailbox this past week, you received a copy of our SST flowchart and new referral form. If you have any questions about referrals, please see one of the core SST members: Michelle Kreuzer, Kyle Alves, Jill Goula, Sarah Prevelige, Jennilee Spinelli, or Leah Barry.
Term 1 Grades
The gradebook window for posting grades opened on Friday, 11/8, and will close on Monday, November 18, at 2:15 PM. You are now able to post grades for Term 1. Please note the change in the closing date.
Parents/Guardians will be able to view grades after 2:15 PM on Monday, November 18.
I will be holding grade-posting drop-in help sessions in the main office conference room on the following days/times. Please stop by to practice posting grades and to "play in the IC Sandbox" -- make sure to bring your laptop.

Wednesday, 11/13 -- 7:00-7:15 AM and 2:25-3:00 PM

Grades for Trimester Classes
Co-Teaching Focus Group
If you would like to provide feedback to the district regarding co-teaching, please come to a focus group session on November 19th from 2:25-3:00 in Mr. Zinni's office. We would love to hear your thoughts!
New Universal Screener and Progress Monitoring Tool
The test is unique, and it adapts to a student's responses in order to measure their skill level. If a student answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. These results will provide a more complete picture of what each student knows and is ready to learn. More information about implementing this new tool will be forthcoming.
