Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presentation for Health & PE 10--Information & Save the Date
We are aware if you have not yet attended the 90-minute parent/teen presentation to meet the HPE 10 course requirement and the Virginia Code §22.1-205 requirement. We will be holding a virtual meeting for our students and parents on Thursday, April 22nd at 7:00pm. For this meeting you will need to sign-up through the following link Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presentation, so we are better able to prepare. The deadline to sign-up will be Monday, April 19th before 11:59 P.M.
A parent and student must attend the entire virtual presentation together sitting side-by-side using a device. This presentation will entail watching a recorded PowerPoint video and answering questions at the end of the presentation. We will send the information and link out to the presentation through email on Tuesday, April 20th (Two days before the virtual meeting). You will just need to click the link to join the presentation. If unable to attend the virtual presentation this semester, there will be another opportunity to attend the 90-minute parent/teen driver education presentation next school year (2021 Fall Semester) to meet this requirement.

Spring SOL Parent Information
Following Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) guidelines, Manassas Park City Schools (MPCS) will be administering Standards of Learning (SOL) tests between May 3 and June 8, 2021. The VDOE requires that SOL tests be administered under secure, standardized testing conditions at school and in the presence of school personnel. Schools will set their own test schedule within the testing window and will communicate this information to families.
To finalize testing plans and to coordinate transportation, MPCS is asking parents of all students who are scheduled to test to complete an SOL survey through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This survey must be completed for each child who may be taking an SOL test.
Please read the attached document for important information about SOL testing before completing the survey.
Please complete this survey no later than Friday, April 16.
To access the survey:
Login into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account
In the left menu, click on Forms
Click on SOL Survey
Select the language preference for the survey (English or Spanish)
Complete the survey and click Submit when done
If you have any questions about SOL testing, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact your child’s school.
