Dear Arrowhead Families,

We hope you and your family are healthy and safe during this unprecedented time. In connecting with the teachers this week virtually, please know that we miss our students and families. We will get through this together. Further, we look forward to returning to a normal schedule soon.

Listed below is key information from MSD:

Educere- is an educational tool/resource. It is something that can keep us all moving forward with something to do educationally. It is not mandatory nor graded.

Communication- at the moment we are working with teachers to figure out next steps so all communication is being channeled to the following address information@methacton.org so that we can work through all of the issues and questions effectively and efficiently. It is also important for you to stay current by reading the messages from Dr. Zerbe as well as visiting the district website. Here is the latest communication from Dr, Zerbe.

As a parent, try to create a schedule and routine with your child/children. Suggestions are to do something each day together. Listen to music, read, draw, talk, play games, journal, eat together and get fresh air. Although a difficult time it is found time, make the best and most of it that you can and stay present and positive.

Please know that we are meeting virtually and talking daily with our fellow administrators and staff members. We are working to stay connected, positive and solution-oriented. I will continue to update you each week. We are sending all positive thoughts, peace and prayers for each one of you.

Stay healthy, safe, strong and be well!

Friday Morning Announcements

Last week's learning activities!

K working and centers and using Raz Kids

Visited with Kindergarten this week during their small group centers. Students shared that they were working on their daily edits where they correct and edit sentences. They also shared that they were reading and listening to stories and vocabulary in Raz Kids. Great work!

Grade 1 math learning

First grade students used their math manipulatives (tens and ones blocks), white boards, markers and the SmartBoard to solve problems during math lessons this week! Impressive work kids!

Grade 2 learning

2nd Graders worked in collaborative pairs this week as they compared and contrasted information from a Wonders Story they were reading in class. Students compared and contrasted Chinese New Year to American New Year. Students used their chromebooks to create new sentences using sentence builder! Great to see STEM in action!

Grade 3 Reading buddies and Kahoot

Visited grade 3 classrooms this morning as they were reading in partners about Science. They also played Kahoot where they practiced their plural nouns knowledge!
