Infant News
This week we had the opportunity to attend a training presented by Music With Mar. It emphasized the importance of music in early childhood. Brain research has shown that using music actively at home and in school leads to better memory, language development, and even impulse control. Plus, doesn't it just feel good to dance and sing with your baby? The emotional connection it provides with your infant is invaluable. For more information, check out http://musicwithmar.com/. Also, if you are on Facebook, you can "like" Music with Mar and read a different brain research fact each day such as: People who dance once a week decrease their chance of Alzheimer’s and dementia by 79%. (Verghese, 2003). Wow!
