- EVERY GSCS counselor should create a myscuta.com if you have not done so. It is free for GA School Counselors
- Share Elective Course Site to allow student exploration of available electives.
- REACH Student Information should be updated in the GA Futures portal after final transcripts have been uploaded.
High School Registration Jan. 31-Feb. 17
Please communicate with your parents information about HS registration. Parents should have the opportunity to ask questions and understand HS course options. Please send a parent link email to parents with the attached information, letting them know the high school registration process is underway. You may want to host a parent night or meeting during the day. All of this is new for many of our middle school parents. Please communicate well and have exceptional customer service.
23-24 High School Advisement Guide
Bridge Bill February Due Dates
HS students should have all received information about Georgia's Dual Enrollment program. You Science should be complete. Individual Graduation Plans for 11th graders should be complete.
SCUTA is free to All GA School Counselors
Create an account at myscuta.com if you have not done so. You will LOVE this organizational tool. It has been created specifically for school counselors. You will need to upload the names of the students in your caseload. It is easy. Attend one of the myscuta trainings to learn how to utilize the program.
YouScience
YouScience completion rate data is trending upward. You may check your school's percentages under Counselor Companion in Infinite Campus. Make a plan for YouScience completions. Encourage students to use YouScience data to make registration and post graduation decisions.

Work with your administrators to meet the deadlines on the scheduling timeline.

Use the GSCS HS Advisement Guide to ensure students are on track for graduation and are informed about course options. The HS advisement Guide should be available to students on the schools' website.

- Feb. 6 ALL SECONDARY Counselors - Scheduling Timeline meeting 8:30-10:00/ Learning Center
- Feb. 6 All Counselors will have an opportunity to get a headshot taken in the Parent Services Building, room 102. Elementary Counselors will take photos 8:30-10:00. Secondary Counselors will take photos after the secondary meeting.
