Naomi "Chirp" Orensein
Chirp is a stubborn, hard-to-please, eleven-year-old girl. She makes friends with Joey, the boy across the street. Together they find a new friendship and travel to different places. Chirp also loves to watch and tell people about birds.
Hannah Orenstein (Mom)
Chirp's mother is supportive and loving toward her children. She loves to dance and express her feelings. She also loves lemon meringue pie.
Sy Orenstein (Dad)
Chirp's father is stern, but cares about his children very much. If anything is wrong, he is always there for them. He works as a psychiatrist.
Rachel Orenstein (Sister)
