Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has been busy and seems to have flown by! Whilst we haven't had any trips or sporting events this week, the children have been engrossed in their learning and enjoying lessons. I have heard some great debates and wonderful questioning as I go round the classes and have been impressed by the children's curiosity and wonder.
October is 'International Walk to school month' so it would be great to see families building the walk to or from school into their day as this is a good time to discuss your child's learning with them as well as being beneficial for both physical and mental health.
Our ground source heat pump and solar panels are now complete and fully functional so we are well on our way to being a carbon neutral school and we are starting to feel the heat in the school as the weather has turned cooler.
On that note, please remember to send your child with a coat each day as they do go outside throughout the day even if it is raining.
Can I please remind you again to label/ name ALL of your child's clothing as again we are building a huge pile of lost property. A sharpie on the label is fine and makes a big difference in helping us to return uniform to its owner.
Finally, please could you ensure that your child stays with you as you drop of and collect so that they are not running through the car park as we have recently had a couple of cars scratched by school bags and coat zips. Thank you.
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams

Well done to everyone who has been practising their maths at home this week. Remember, it is homework and children need to be working on either Numbots or TTR each week for at least 20 minutes spread over the week. This will help your child in class.
Congratulations to our Numbots superstars this week who are Alfie W, Sonny L, Mathew M, Skye L, Ziggy P, Clara R-S and Betsy D. Our Rockstars of the week are Alex E, Finnbar C, Charlie W, Emie P , Freddie C and Samantha D. Well done everyone!
Message from Head Pupils
This week, two nurses came in and delivered a flu sniff to prevent the spread of illness. The receptions have been introduced to team points systems and are enjoying contributing to each week. Other than that it has been a quiet week but it has been fantastic to hear how hard everyone has been working. Have a lovely weekend.
