Spring Field Trips

Your child is bringing home TWO district field trip forms today.

  • Contest Field Trip (Friday, April 15)
  • Kemah Boardwalk Field Trip (Satruday, April 30)

Both permission slips are due by Thursday, March 31st

Contest Information

The choir will attend the Cypress Creek Choral Festival on Friday, April 15th. Our choir will perform 3 pieces for distinguished judges who will rate our performance on a scale from 1-5. We hope to bring home straight ONE's (that's the best)! After our performance, we will watch 1 or 2 other choirs then have a picnic lunch at a nearby park. We will need chaperones for this event. It appears that our chaperone spots are already full. If you would like to check to see if you signed up and make changes, click here. You may also check to see if a spot has opened up. Parents may drive themselves and listen to our performance and/or eat with us if you would like.

Tentative schedule:

  • 8:15 - Chaperone meeting in music room
  • 8:30 - depart for the Centrum @ Cypress Creek Christian Center
  • 9:40 - warm up
  • 10:00 - performance
  • 10:20-11:00 - watch other performances
  • 11:00-12:00 - eat at park (behind the venue)
  • 12:00 - return to school
  • 1:15 - arrive back at school

Choir students will wear their FORMAL uniform for this event.

Please mark whether you child will bring or buy a sack lunch for this event and return the permission slip to school by Thursday, March 31st.

Kemah Boardwalk Field Trip

Most of the information you need will be on the page linked below. This is an optional choir trip on April 30th, after the official choir season is over. Families are invited to join us and there are options to purchase additional ticket packages if you would like, however there is not cost to enter the park and watch us sing. The minimum cost for this trip will be $35 (for the choir member to go).

To do list:

  1. Read through the short presentation at this link.
  2. Discuss with your family and let us know if you are coming. Even students not going need to fill out the form and select the option "We will not attend".
  3. For those attending, fill out the remainder of the form to include check out plans, meal choice, extra tickets, etc.
  4. For those attending, turn in your payment and district permission slip by Thursday, March 31st.
