CSCS Parent Smore Update
April 26th, 2020
A Message from Mr. Anderson & Mrs. DeCamp
-The governor has stated that we will not be going back to school until at least May 15th.
-Please continue to get acclimated with our digital classrooms: Seesaw (PreK-2nd grade) and Google Classroom (3-6th grade).
-Our next student work pick up will be this Thursday, April 30th from 8:00am-3:00pm:
- Please pull around the bus loop to the Small gymnasium doors.
- Stay in your car, a school employee will get your child's work for you and bring it out to you.
- We will be wearing masks and hand sanitizing between pickups.
- We have good news to report in this newsletter as the AT&T hot spots should be ready for pick up. The school will be reaching out to everyone we have on our list this week to check in and make sure the need is still there.
-Last week you should have received your child's Marking Period 3 progress report. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions.
We have included more resources for parents in this newsletter including unemployment guidance and employment opportunities in our area. If you and your family is struggling in any way please utilize these resources and don't hesitate to reach out to our local area supports for help!
Thank you for your continued support, collaboration and team work! We miss you very much and can't wait to get back together at school!

Unemployment - Loss of job due to Covid-19
Below are resources to help:
Go to the website at www.labor.ny.gov to begin the unemployment process. Create a NY.-gov ID to get the process started online. From there, a Department of Labor representative will call you directly to confirm details and get unemployment started.
Call in number is 888-209-8124 (this takes longer and with large call volumes it is difficult to get through)
Best way is to go online through the website www.labor.ny.gov
and create a NY.-gov ID to get started online

If you have questions during this time, your Labor Services Representative (LSR) will be available via email.
***UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS WILL NOT BE IMPACTED, AND YOU MAY CONTINUE TO FILE FOR WEEKLY BENEFITS. PLEASE NOTE, YOU SHOULD STILL CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR WORK AND TRACK WORK SEARCH ACTIVITIES. ***

A Closing Thought
We are hopeful that students will be able to come back to school after May 15th, although this can change as the governor is making decisions at this point in two week increments. Bottom line, is we have to do our best so we can get back to school as soon as possible!!! We miss our kids!
Thank you for your continued cooperation, understanding, flexibility and diligence. It is appreciated more than you may realize.
