Jolly Jack-O-Lanterns
This Week
During P.E., we sang about a witch, ghost, and troll and practiced tip-toeing and running. We also played mouse trap, a game in which two people hold hands up high and try to trap other people coming through the tunnel. With our friends from Room 15, we made spiders with pretzels and Oreos, practiced identifying emotions (happy, sad, mad, scared), took turns putting buttons down a tube of water, and used toilet paper to wrap each other up like mummies!
HALLOWEEN PARADE/PARTY ON MONDAY
- Parents are welcome to stay with their children from our drop-off at 8:45 until the party ends at 10:30, then we will resume our normal day
- Children may wear simple costumes. Please do not bring "weapons" or wear masks to school as part of the costume. Please send in extra clothes for your child to change into (if they wish) after the party.
- We will begin parading through the CDC and District Offices for special surprises at approximately 9:15
- Once the parade is over, around 10am, we will enjoy a party on our playground with Room 4
- ~Hope to see you there!~
NOVEMBER
- The general CDC theme for November is Families! Please send in more pictures of your family so that we can practice identifying our own family members. It would be great if you could label each family member with the name you would like your child to call each person (e.g., Mom, Nana, Lucy, John, etc.). Feel free to write down some special activities that your family enjoys doing together so we can get to know you all better :)
- We will be talking about fall things & Thanksgiving these next few weeks
- Progress reports will be sent home in November
- There is no school November 21-25!
