Teachers/Aides Needed!
Looking for something to do while your kiddo is in class? Please consider pitching in by teaching or aiding! Most spots would not require a weekly commitment on your part - a rotation can be established to accommodate your schedule.
Sunday evening:
- 5th grade Aide
- 7th/8th grade Aide
- 8th grade Aide
- 1st/2nd grade Aide
For more information, or to sign up to help, please contact Mindy. Thanks for your consideration!
First Class of the Year/Parent Meetings
We will begin our first class (August 18/19) with a short prayer service for the entire family in church. Please do not plan on just dropping your child off for the first PSR class as teachers will be sitting with their families and will not be able to supervise your child.
Following the prayer service, you will take your children back to their classes, where they will do some "get to know you" activities with their teachers. We will then re-gather in the parish hall for the Sunday morning session, and in church for Sunday and Monday evening sessions. We will be finished by the end of class time.
Sunday Evening Masses
The Sunday evening Mass dates are:
- August 25
- September 29
- October 27
- November 17
- December 15
- January 26
- February 23
- March 29
- April 26
Hope to see you there!
Family Gatherings
Sacramental Preparation
A reminder for all families: Holy Family's policy states that all families wishing for their child to receive sacraments (traditionally 2nd grade for First Reconciliation/First Communion and 9th grade for Confirmation) are required to be enrolled and participating in religious education the year immediately prior to their sacramental preparation year as well as during the sacramental preparation year.
Girls Volleyball and Boys/Girls Cross Country opportunity at St. Charles Borromeo Academy
From SCBA Athletic Director Cory Winnike (cwinnike@hotmail.com):
It's that time of year again. Unfortunately, summer is already half over and the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year is just around the corner. Registration is currently open for Girls Volleyball (grades 3-8) and Boys and Girls Cross Country (grades 3-8).
If your son or daughter is interested in participating, please email Athletic Director Cory Winnike (cwinnike@hotmail.com) with their name, grade, sport interested in, and parental contact information. Our first and foremost priority is to have enough interest to have our students compete for SCBA, but, if we are unable to field a complete team, we will look at combining grades as well as partner with other schools.
We will be looking for volunteers to help coach our student athletes, so if you have any experience, know someone that does, or are willing to help out, please let me know as well.
Please feel free to email Cory Winnike (cwinnike@hotmail.com) with any questions you may have.
