What Did My Child Do At Camp
We helped them remember this with the acronym DSPP
Dribbling: FRIENDS routine is an acronym that I developed to help teach the kids to practice dribbling. Below is a video with the N~nose example. The FRIENDS routine is part of the Ray-Pec PE curriculum.
Shooting: BEEF is an acronym that helps the kids know how to shoot correctly when shooting a basketball
Passing: PTP~"pivot to pass" is a term that we use all the time in passing. Players must step in the direction they are passing to avoid “turn overs” to the opponent.
Pivoting: being able to move your non pivot foot and pivot your body into shots and passes is key to being a great player.
