Programming Squad Process
The programming team is the group that makes the team's robot run. Once we build the robot, we can design it to do anything we want it to do; but we won't be able to drive it without programming it first. It would seem, therefore, that we aren't able to program it at all until we have the robot built. With the basic outline of how the machine will be built and the rules of the game, we can create all the code it needs and test on our testing robot. We can then modify the code as needed once we have a prototype and eventually the competition robot. Because we have a testing robot that helps offset the reliance on the other groups, we can work on code until we get the competition robot. This process allows us to test code--instead of just guessing and hoping it works in the end.
