FROM: Superintendent Matt Massey
RE: Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council
Good morning Buckhorn students!
Last year, I established the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council to create a platform where I could get feedback and ideas directly from students. As a byproduct, council members also served as liaisons between the student population and myself. Last year’s council members took their jobs very seriously, and our discussions were extremely productive.
I am excited to announce that I am now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 Superintendent Student Advisory Council. Students in grades 11-12 are eligible to apply. Applications are due by Sept. 2, 2016
The application is an online form and is linked here --> https://goo.gl/9Tgmwu

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
http://www.hsvutil.org/myhsvu…/checkbill/roundup/signup.html
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!
