Message from the principal...
Dear Maine Lion Families~
Thank you so much to all of our families that were able to join us for our Student Success Conferences! We really appreciate you taking the time to celebrate all that your child has learned this year and also to talk about the next best steps in their learning journey! If you were not able to meet with your child's teachers, PLEASE reach out to them to arrange a phone call. Our goal is always to connect with 100% of our families! Thank you so much for helping us reach our goal! :)
Spring Break is coming up soon! We hope that your families has time to enjoy a little extra time together creating memories! Please remember that Friday, March 17th, students will be released at 11:30am. We will not be serving lunch on this day. Spring break is the week of March 20th - 24th.
Your partner in education,

Habits at Home ~ Habit 6 ~ Synergize
- Conduct some fun experiments that show how much easier it is to do a job with the help of another person rather than alone. For example, try to make a bed, carry a heavy box, or lift a large table by the edge with one hand. Then invite others to participate and help. Use your imagination and come up with your own experiments to demonstrate the need for synergy.
- Pretend that you are stranded in your home for an entire month with just your family. Ask: What kind of family synergy is available for us to draw on to make it through—and perhaps even enjoy—the challenge? Create a list of contributions each family member could make, for example:
Read Across America
We had a wonderful time celebrating Read Across America Week/Dr. Seuss's Birthday with Guest Reader assemblies and dress up days! Ms. Simonson read to both K-2 and 3-5 groups, Officer Cornell read to K-2 and Marie Northup, retired Maine Principal read to 3-5. A good time was had by all, enjoying stories read by adults showing students how much fun and important books, reading and learning are for your whole life. Thank you to these fabulous role models! Bravo! :)
