Lebanon High School Summer Experience Opportunities
These courses are designed for students entering 9th through 12th grade.
Credit Recovery
Designed for 9th - 12th Grade students who are credit deficient.
Current and transfer high school students will use Launch to complete courses in which they had previously failed. Students will complete coursework under the supervision of teachers and counselors. Students will be able to complete coursework at their own pace through the summer timeline, with teachers available to assist when clarification of materials is needed.
Launch
Students interested in taking online Launch courses need to see their counselor. School counselors will have the course list available for students/parents. Students and parents must complete and sign a registration form (received from the counselor) prior to being enrolled in a Launch course.
Personal Finance-1 Personal Finance Credit-July 6-17
Earn your required Personal Finance credit in this two week class. We will explore money management, debt, budgeting, investing, and more! We will use a combination of First State Community Bank resources, Dave Ramsey, and course material. Dual credit opportunities are available for this course.
Conversational Spanish-1 General Elective
Learning the basics of conversational Spanish through stories, videos and music. Build reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Experience the culture of 21 different Spanish-speaking countries through food, legends, holidays and traditions. Participate in cultural activities such as Day of the Dead, Running with the Bulls, Tomatina and much more.
Summer Art Experience -(1/2 general elective for 1/2 day and 1 general elective for full day)
This exciting course grants you the freedom to choose your own art activities. Summer Art Experience can be taken all day or half day. Students may work on individual art projects in a variety of media such as clay, paint, drawing and textiles.
If you choose to do this course for a half day no transportation will be provided midday to pick you up or take you home.
Vehicle Maintenance for Young Drivers-1 General Elective
Are you tired of waiting for your car to get serviced? DO you know how to change your own tire? This course is designed to teach new and young drivers the basics of vehicle maintenance. Some of the things we will learn are how to change a tire, oil changes, checking fluids, and light bulbs. These tips and tricks will help you succeed as a young adult driver.
