- All students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. Sophomores and juniors are taking the PSAT - please report directly to your testing room - more information is below.
- Freshmen on Wednesday have their class retreat rescheduled from August, and seniors have a day of reflection. Please note - This is a required school day for all students!
PSAT: Coming Wednesday
All Saints in grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT this Wednesday, Oct. 16. Sophomores and juniors should report directly to their testing room that day. We are scheduled to dismiss at 1 p.m. (freshmen have their class retreat, and seniors have a day of reflection. As noted above, Wednesday is a required school day and all students are expected to be in attendance.)
- What is the PSAT? Cosponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) — often shortened to PSAT — is a standardized test targeting 10th and 11th graders in the U.S.

Sophomore & Junior Parent Night Presentation
If you are a sophomore or junior parent who was unable to come to last night's Parent Information Night with the Counseling Team, the PowerPoint and handouts are posted on the Counseling Website under the heading Sophomore & Junior Parent Night Recap. Please let us know if you have any questions at all. Thank you to all those who attended!
Other Reminders
- First quarter report cards will be e-mailed Thursday, Oct. 17 at 2:50 p.m.
- If your student is driving and has not purchased a 2019-2020 parking tag, they need to purchase a new tag by next Friday, October 18. We will start checking parking tag numbers to see if they are current or if one has been purchased!
Spirituality/Campus Ministry
Wednesday Speaker Series
What sets St. Louis Catholic apart? Truly listening to our Saints. Using the student survey from the beginning of the year, Campus Ministry organized 8 different sessions on topics that the students suggested. Students were allowed to choose the session they attended, on topics including relationships, faith & reason, prayer and "eternal greatness" - making a difference that lasts for eternity.
Speakers included faculty members (Robbie Austin '90, Rebecca Manns, Joshua Thompson and Mary Villaume), alumni (Frances Thompson '14, Mac Thompson '15, David Durand) and three of our Diocesan priests - Fr. Jeff Starkovich ('07), Fr. Ruben Villarreal, and Fr. Nathan Long.
Several students had a real encounter with Christ and even were moved to tears. We are so grateful to all our speakers for being open, honest and willing to share with our students. We are excited to continue building on this series in the future!
