Darwin's Postulates
By Dario Molina
Charles Darwin was an english naturalist and geologist. He dedicated his life to observe the animals and better understand the theory of evolution. By observing live animals and fossils, Darwin came up with the following postulates which explains why creatures change throughout time
Variation
There is a lot of variety between species! Not all same species organisms look like each other at all.
Inheritance
Off spring will look like their parents due to inherited traits passed on through genes.
Differential Survival
External conditions (biotic or abiotic) are the driving force of evolution and will most likely affect survival.
Extinction
Some traits inherited by animals become obsolete and not suited for survival which means they die out through generations.
Thanks!
