Time to Get Your Spirit on!
Veteran's Day
Veteran’s Day is rapidly approaching. Lakeview Junior High would like to take the opportunity to recognize and honor those who have served or are currently serving our country in the armed services. We are asking that you fill out the form below and have your son/daughter return it to school by Monday, October 31th. If you have a friend or a family member who is currently serving or who has served our country, please write his/her name, the war they fought in (if applicable), the military branch served under, and the name of your Lakeview student. A star will then be placed on the wall outside of the main office. You are welcome to stop in and view our display after November 10th. Thanks for your support of this project.
Holiday Assistance
The holidays are quickly approaching along with all the wonderful memories made during these special times. The holidays are an enjoyable time with family and friends, however, that does not mean that they are not stressful! We realize some families may need some assistance providing a memorable holiday for their children. Pickerington Schools are teaming up, once again, with the Violet Township Fire Department to help provide some assistance for families in need during this holiday season.
For those out and about during the holiday season, you may see big red boxes throughout the community and in the schools. If you would like to donate a new toy/gift for the holiday season it can be placed in the big red boxes. Suggestions for gift donations include, action figures, activity books, art supplies, bath & body items, Barbie dolls, blocks/building sets, board games, books, crafts, Disney items, fashion accessories, headphones/earbuds, handheld game devices, jewelry, Legos, make-up & hair accessories, perfume/cologne, puzzles, sports equipment, stuffed animals, toy trucks, and video games. If you would prefer to donate in other ways, such as gift cards, please send them to the school office.
If you would like an application for holiday assistance this year, please contact your school counselor: 7th graders - Amy_Weinrich@plsd.us & 8th graders- Sarah_Geiger@plsd.us or call 614-830-2200. The application is also below. Please only one application per household. This application is handled in a confidential manner; however, the information will be shared with local agencies.
