The Giant Panda
- Live in Coniferous forests with dense underbrush and bamboo
- Stand 2-3 ft. tall on all fours
- Eats mostly bamboo, but occasionally eats rodents and different grasses
- Their offspring stay with them from 1- 3 years
- They are listed as endangered in the World Conservation Union's Red List of Threatened Species
- Only about 1,600 left in the wild
- 300+ in zoo's and breeding centers ( mostly in china)
