Industrial Revolution
By. Caiden Edward Bryson
What was it?
The industrial revolution was a time of increased production caused by machines powered by new energy sources.
Working Conditions
During the industrial revolution, working conditions were not like they are today, they were unsafe, unsanitary, their were long hours, and low pay.
Child Labor
During the industrial revolution if you were a child life was hard, you worked very long hours for as low as 1/2 cent an hour. The working conditions were unsafe and unsanitary too, especially for children because they were the people who fixed machines why they were running.
Factories
Although factories ruined lives in many ways, it increased production dramatically, gave us interchangeable parts, and new technology.
The Cotton Gin
The Cotton Gin is an example of a machine during the industrial revolution, it increased seed picking by 50% which is a dramatic change from what people are used to, and Eli Whitney was the one to thank.
