Star Network

Star Network
A star network is when each device on the network has its own cable that connects to a switch or hub. A hub sends every piece of data to every device, where the switch only sends a piece of data to the final device.
The advantages of this is that it is very reliable, if one cable fails or is broken all the other devices will still work just like normal.
Disadvantages are that is very expensive to install as this network uses a type of cable,
extra hardware is required such as hubs or switches which adds to cost and
if a hub or switch fails all the devices connected to it will have no network connection.
