Commonalism
A type interaction in which one organism benefits from the host without causing benefit nor harm to it. One example is the relationship between a squirrel and a tree. The squirrel gets shelter, and the tree is not benefited nor harmed.
Mutualism
A type of interaction where both sides benefit. For example, the relationship between a deer and a bird. The bird pecks the insects off the deer to get food and the deer becomes insect free.
Parasitism
A type of interaction where a parasite is living off of another organism while harming and sometimes killing the other organism. One example is the relationship between White-tailed deer and Ticks. The tick sucks blood and nutrients from the deer and the deer gets an infectious disease from the tick.
Pros and Cons of Human Interaction
Humans are guilty of harming the environment everywhere. They don't all harm the environment, some actually help protect the environment. I have made a list of pros and cons of human effects on the environment.
Pro: Humans can plant more trees and plants and help them grow.Con: Humans cut down trees for valuable lumber and usage of the rich soil.
Pro: Humans can actually clean up and uncontaminate the environment.
Con: Humans burn coal and other things like coal that cause acid rain, which is one of the worst types of pollution.
