Kentucky
Kentucky is very, VERY rich. Kentucky has billions of $$$$$$$ in gold. 1 bar is worth more than $16,000.The gold is kept in a big vault, with a door that ways tons of pounds (1 ton is = to 2,000 pounds). The door has a combination lock. Not 1 person knows the combination. Instead, many people know bits and pieces of it. The gold is kept in Fort Knox.
Animals
There are lots of animals in the southeast including deer, birds, crocs, dolphins, fish, bears, rabbits, insects like bees and butterflies, other sea creatures and, since I said including, many, many others.
Florida
In 1513, a Spanish explorer found Florida. He had gone looking for Bimini and the fountain of youth. He had believed an Indian's story. He found Florida on Easter Sunday, Which in Spanish is Pascua Florida, or Flowering Easter.
economy
Oil, lumber, and agriculture (farmed goods) are all types of the southeast economy.
Culture
The French, Spanish, and Indians have created the culture of the southeast. The southeast is probably the region with the most culture. I'd say Louisiana is the state with the most culture. It is "rich" with culture.

Wetlands
Swamps are usually flooded part of the year. Swamps also have trees and shrubs growing in them. Cypress trees grow in swamps. Marshes are underwater, almost completely. Marshes are way too wet for trees and shrubs, so on the small banks grassy plants grow. In marshes water lilies and duckweed often grow on the water. They are made of saltwater and wet ground. Mangroves are found in warm places. Normal plants can’t grow in mangroves, so mangroves have at special type of plant that can grow there.Rainwater keeps bogs wet and spongy. Moss covers most of bogs. Swamps, marshes, mangroves, bogs, and even everglades (which I didn’t talk about) are all wetlands.
Presidents
Many of our presidents were born in the southeast, mainly Virginia, one of the twelve southeast states. Our current president, Barack Obama, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Blacks
As well as presidents, many famous blacks, like Rosa Parks, were born in the southeast.
Vacation Spot
The southeast's warm weather draws people from all over the country, especially to the beach. The beach, and other spots in the southeast are great vacation spots. Many people even go there during the winter, because when Minnesota is covered in a thick, White winter blanket (snow), Florida and other southeast states are warm and sunny. But watch out for hurricanes!
Climate
The climate of the southeast is warm. It can be rainy but it is mostly warm. Sometimes the weather can be very "strict". There could be tornadoes, but mostly there are hurricanes, or cyclones.
Video
The video below is all about the southeast. It is 4 minutes and 5 seconds (4:05) long. Enjoy! Don't forget to NEVER STOP LEARNING!
Imformation
I got all my information from paying attention in class. How much info do you have? I hope you payed attention, too!
