Genital Warts (HPV)

What is it?
Germs (human papillomavirus) that form warts near or in the genital areas.
How does it get transmitted?
It can get transmitted through vaginal, anal, and oral sex. In some rare cases, it can be transmitted from a mother to her baby in childbirth.
What are the symptoms of HPV or Genital Warts?
There are no symptoms. But, the warts are there. Some people can't see the warts, so a doctor has to find them with a magnifying class.
How can it be treated?
There are no actual cures, but you can take medication and apply prescribed creams to lessen the size and number of the warts. You can also get them freezed off.
What are the problems?
They can grow bigger and multiply, and they can spread to other people. Once you get them, it is very hard to get rid of them.
How do you prevent them?
You could not have sex, which is called abstinence. You could also use a latex condom, but it doesn't always work.
