Career Day
Big Dig IMPORTANT INFORMATION
On the day of the Big Dig, we will need everyone who has a leadership role to arrive by 7am. Those people are Gutierrez, Jonson, Leyva, McKay, Manzanera, Valdez and Ms. Montero. At 7:50, we will have a team lead meeting in the garden. Reminders for teachers:
No students will use the portable restrooms on this day.
ALL staff will park at the Home Depot (this has been cleared)
Sack lunches will be ordered for the students on this day.
Lunch for the volunteers will be from 11:45-1. All students will be eating picnic style outside this day. Ms. Perez and 2 TAs will be with them. We will need you to come and walk your students through the line and then bring them to the black top for lunch. Please then rejoin them for recess. Recess will still be held but we will not be using the field only the baseball field and the playgrounds. For 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, we will have lunched bagged for you, so you will not need to have your students go through the line.
At the end of the day, we need ALL FACULTY and STAFF to come out to the garden to see the work that the volunteers and your peers have done. This is a great time to say thank you!
We need all photo releases and a list of students who did not turn them in. You will designate one person to stay with the students who do not have signed forms on your team. ALL other teachers will come out to assist with the art tables.
ALL students and teachers can wear comfortable clothes on this day. The students will be doing art projects so please let parents know that it is ideal if they wear an old shirt.
There will be specials on this day.
We still need volunteers and tools! Letters went out! Please help us!
Hands were put in your box for the thank you letters!
