Ancient Greece had many little city-states, that had there own connecting government. Instead of saying the location of where they were from, when asked, they would respond "I am Sparta" or "I am of Athens". Although each individual city-state was unique, each was the same and very similar at the same time. Each worshiped the same gods, spoke the same language, and had the same cultural background.

The Greece and Rome empires contributed many things, such as pottery, columns, geometry, astronomy, the first Olympics, the roots to our English language, the outdoor theater, and many more. Our civilization and society are very much alike the Greek and Rome civilizations.

Architecture and Mythology

The Greek had built many amazing sculptures and soaring columns. There were three types of columns the Greek built. Including, the Doric, Ionic, and the Corinthian.

The Romans believed in many Gods and emperors, such as Caesar Augustus, Nero, Trajan, Marcus Aurelius, Commodious, Diocletian, and Romulus Augustus.
