Goverment
Ancient Greece had many little city-states, that had there own connecting government. Instead of saying the location of where they were from, when asked, they would respond "I am Sparta" or "I am of Athens". Although each individual city-state was unique, each was the same and very similar at the same time. Each worshiped the same gods, spoke the same language, and had the same cultural background.
