Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
LISD Professional Development Center
Instructor Certification Course Information
CPl's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program is a safe, nonharmful behavior management system designed to help educators provide for the best Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security5M of confrontational, disruptive, or potentially out-of-control students.
From a raised voice to a physical assault, all levels of risk behavior and the appropriate staff interventions are addressed. The training gives educators a solid framework for decision making and serves as a foundation for a system-wide crisis intervention training plan. The program also supports PBIS strategies and can be fully integrated into the PBIS process.
Training Reflects Recent Enhancements to the Program:
- Added Content – Several new learning models and physical intervention options that give you highly effective tools to better guide your day-to-day decision making.
- Greater Depth – Within each unit, you’ll take a more intentional look at the thoughts and feelings that drive risk behaviors, and connect them to your professional values.
- Wider Reach – Easy to learn and easier to teach, the enhanced content gives you the flexibility to train a wider range of staff within your organization.
