This week in Science, we studied how apples have influenced our lives over time. As a way to celebrate apples, we investigated them and had a taste testing, which included: apple butter, apple juice, apple sauce and different colored apple slices! This weekend would be perfect to pick apples and share what your kiddos knows about them! :)
Our field trip is coming up in just a couple of short weeks! Just a reminder that if you have not yet turned in your child's permission form, please do so as soon as possible. Also, if you or another family member are planning on attending, a background check is required. I'd be happy to send home a background check form to anyone who needs it. Just email me and let me know. We are excited to have you attend with us! :)
Next week, one of the students from our class will be selected by his/her peers to receive the ROAR award in our assembly. Be looking out for your child to come home with this award throughout the year. Ms. Sydney Glenn was chosen last month! I can't wait to see who will be elected this month!
For Next Week:
Next week, your child will begin bringing home a behavior calendar in his/her B.E.E. book. It will correspond with our building behavior matrix: R.O.A.R. (Respectful, Outstanding Leader, Always Safe, and Responsible). More information will be attached to the calendar next week.
Thank you for making sure your learner is making it to school every day and is on time! Just a reminder that our doors open at 8:10 and school begins promptly at 8:30. The kiddos are so happy when they are on time and ready to learn with all of their morning duties completed (lunch choice made, sharpened pencil ready, B.E.E. book turned in).
Please email me with any questions or concerns that may be on your mind. I have loved seeing many of you reading to the kiddos as our mystery reader! If you'd still like to sign up to do that, there is plenty of opportunities available. Have a blessed weekend!
