Projectile Motion Poster
By Gracie Simonsen
Parabola Example:
A fountain is a parabola example by the way it goes up and curves down.
Projectile motion:
Form of motion in which an object or particle is thrown and moves along a curved path under the action of only gravity.
Example 1:
Archery is an example of projectile motion. When you shoot an arrow from a bow upwards, the arrow goes in a arch.
Example 2:
A golfball when hit goes in a projectile motion and in a curved motion when in flight. It curves in the air then hits the ground to roll.
Example 3:
When a pitcher throws a ball to the batter, the ball goes through the air curved, and goes through gravity to the batter. Gravity brings the ball there in an arch through gravity.
Video of a real world example
The video shows a rocket launching, and it shows projectile motion by the way it goes through the air.
